Q: How can we be assured of your service reliability?
A: You are welcomed to collect our references from the couples we have worked with in the past; a legally binding Service Contract Agreement is put in place to give us the authority to encompass all duties relevant to securing your wedding plans. Cosmopolites' Wedding Agency is legally recognized and fully certified company by the Czech law.
Q: How much in advance shall we consider booking the wedding date?
A: We would strongly recommend booking your wedding date minimum 6 months in advance. The main wedding season in Czech Republic is between March and October, together with the month of December.
Q: When we should send all requested documents to you?
A: Up to three days from the booking and signing of the Service Contract Agreement, you will be asked to send via email scanned copies of requested Legal Documents. All requested originals or certified copies of the documents should be sent via post to our Prague’s office 30 days prior the wedding day; we would strongly advise you to send all the information as soon as possible. Please note: all the certifications, translations and so on must not be older than 6 months prior to your wedding.
Q: Do we need witnesses on the ceremony?
A: In many cases the couple decides to create the celebration only for themselves. No guests, no friends, only Bride and Groom and romantic atmosphere. In such occurrences we would be happy to provide you with our witnesses. So you can bravely come alone.
Q: Are last minute weddings also possible?
A: Yes, last minute weddings are possible and Cosmopolites' Wedding Agency is here to assist you. The prerequisites are different for all nationalities; please contact us for more details.
Q: What is the payment method for your services?
A: The payment is usually carried out in several installments. Till three working days from the booking and signing of the Service Contract Agreement, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable booking fee of 30 % of the Basic package’s price as well as non-refundable total price of the Certificates of no Impediment to Marriage if would be arranged by Cosmopolites' Wedding Agency. Furthermore, 30 days prior the wedding day overall balance is payable.
If your wedding date was booked in the last minute, you will be also requested to pay the fee for the last minute booking up to three working days from the booking and signing of the Service Contract Agreement, in this case the overall balance payment should be done 15 days prior the wedding day.
The payments are in most cases made by a secure bank transfer or we can offer you to make the balance payment in cash.
Q: Do we need a visa to enter the Czech Republic?
A: Visa for citizens of all EU countries is not required. For citizens of USA and recently Canada and Australia, visas are also not required. For citizens of any other country we would strongly advise you to confirm the travel arrangements with Czech Embassy in your country, or Cosmopolites' Wedding Agency would be happy to provide you with up-to-date information.
Q: When is the best time to arrive?
A: Most Czech governmental offices have office hours on Monday and Wednesday therefore you are requested to arrive in Prague, Czech Republic minimum 3 working days prior to their wedding day in order to complete the administration. During this time you will also have a chance to get accustomed to the atmosphere of the city and begin to enjoy you staying.
Q: Are there any health checks required in order to marry in Czech Republic?
A: Neither health checks nor any medical documentation are required by the Czech law.
Q: What is APOSTILLE and do our documents need to include it as well as the Marriage Certificate?
A: According to the country of your origin all of the documents issued in your country (except documents for religious weddings) could need legalization with a governmental stamp called an APOSTILLE that certifies documents of foreign origin for use in the Czech Republic.
Apostille is the legalization of a document for international use under the terms of the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents. Documents which have been notarized by a notary public, and certain other documents, and then certified with a conformant Apostille are accepted for legal use in all the nations that have signed the Hague Convention.

Q: Is it possible to perform a pre-wedding visit to the ceremony and celebration venues?
A: Yes, pre-wedding visits are possible. According to the type of wedding and your requirements, we will create a one day program for you. Pre-wedding visit allows the client together with his personal wedding coordinator to visit the possible ceremony and celebration venues. Number of such Venues that can be visited during one inspection trip is 5 (venues = reception/ ceremony places; hotel/ luxury apartments). Complementary from the company 2 hours of coordinator work is free of charge. Every extra hour of escort service is payable according to our price list.
Transportation requires extra surcharge.
Q: Can you arrange accommodation locally or do we have to find the hotel ourselves?
A: Cosmopolites' Wedding Agency is happy to assist you with accommodation recommendations, choosing for you the best option and booking at discounted rates. Just provide us with your requirements.
