The Lednice area is the biggest artificial landscape in Europe and is protected by UNESCO, rightly so, as the first written documentation dates back to 1222. Often called the "Garden of Europe", Lednice is located at the base of the Pavlov Hills, and is filled with limestone rocks, rare steppes, forest steppes, oak woods and in the spring time blooming flowers and irises.
Located approximately 30 minutes from Brno Airport (250 km away from Prague), the Lednice Chateau is a beautiful and magical place for your wedding, and once inhabited by the famous Lichtenstein family.
This UNESCO protected chateau is one of the finest examples of High Romanticism in the Czech Republic and boasts a new-Gothic interior. The current look and style of the Chateau was finalized in the mid 1800s with a pseudo- Gothic adaptation.
Surrounded by a gorgeous park and an intricate network of lakes and islands, the chateau also is also adjoined to a greenhouse, filled with various exotic plants and greenery. Additionally, here you will find ancient Baroque horse stables, dating back to the late 1600s. Also on the estate which covers 250 sq. kilometers, you will discover numerous romantic buildings - a minaret, John's Castle, Apollo's Chapel, three Graces, and St. Hubert Chapel.
